PBworks is a ‘free to educators’ wiki site. A wiki is a website where registered users can modify and add content to an environment that has a framework and collaboration rules set by the original author.
PBworks enables users to:
- instantly create a shared online workspace for your students
- be added via email or student access coordinated via the class teacher
- have parents added as “guest users”, able to access the content you specify
- allow a number of people to collaborate on the same page
- be notifies when changes are made, automated email notifications keep the class teacher up-to-date
- convert Word, Excel, and WordPerfect documents into editable workspace pages using Document Import.
