Hot Potatoes

Hot Potatoes software is a tool used for creating and presenting learning experiences to students in a different way. The quizzes and activities that you create could be theme, topic, or skill focussed. For example, students could create a webpage based on a topic they have researched, and then create a crossword or cloze reading activity relating to the information they have presented. This webpage could then be used by other students in the class or throughout the school as a reading comprehension activity. Some schools have homework or learning pages within their websites. Consider adding interactivity to these pages with a quiz or activity.

ICT Learning Experience: Hot Potatoes in Geography
This ICT Learning Experience involves upper secondary geography students using Hot Potatoes to create interactive revision activities. The activities were created and published online to assist fellow classmates with revising and reinforcing their knowledge of geography topics. (Developed by Tamaki College (AIMHI) Cluster as part of the ICT Professional Development Clusters project.)
