CD/DVD and/or DownloadArtRage is a free media painting package that has been designed to look and feel like real paint, and which is easy to use with a simple but modern painting surface suitable for all levels.
Students can play around with oils, chalks, pencils, felt pens etc, and use tools such as 'layers' and 'image tracing' – that allow you to create images from photographs. This program is a good introduction to virtual painting, and can assist students to improve the quality of work they are able to produce. It may also be used to help students learn skills that can be applied to traditional painting.

ArtRage 2 comes in 2 editions. The Starter Edition can be downloaded from the website at no cost. For educational pricing on the Full Version, or pricing on the newer ArtRage Studio or Studio Pro versions, send an email to Ambient Design. Include a contact name and phone number, address of the school, and the number of installations required (for both Mac OS X and Windows - one installation is required per computer). |
